Internal investigations require a tailored approach and the support of seasoned experts, as they often involve increased legal, business. and reputational risk. They are frequently conducted under time pressure, based on incomplete information, and subject to strict confidentiality requirements. At the same time, the way in which an investigation is conducted may directly impact the liability of the organization, its management, and influence all subsequent actions, including court or regulatory proceedings.
