Additional leaves for women – new trend or necessity?

Menstrual leave is a range of different arrangements functioning in many countries and organizations. While in Japan “menstrual leave” does indeed have some hallmarks of a holiday, it is generally unpaid and very rarely used in practice. In Spain it also is not a typical leave on demand for women, but a type of sick leave. In Poland there is still no corresponding regulation. Employers are taking matters into their own hands and introducing additional benefits for women on their own. – Karolina Kanclerz comments for kobieta.rp.pl.
