When stress at work is normal?

Stress at work is not always a sign of a problem and it does not automatically make the employer responsible. The key is prevention – ensuring the nature of the work does not lead to undesired behaviour. – Karolina Kanclerz and Oskar Kwiatkowski comment for Rzeczpospolita.

Whistleblowing: Absences will not extend deadlines

The deadline for responding to a whistleblower’s report will remain despite the reason for recipient’s absence. It is a good idea for internal reporting procedures to include multiple authorised recipients in case one of them is unavailable. Companies can also designate backup personnel to handle reports when the primary contact is unable to do so. – Bartosz Tomanek, Mateusz Krajewski, and Bartłomiej Wodyński comment for Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.

AI Act targets resume filtering recruiting systems

Employers using AI tools will face new restrictions under the EU Artificial Intelligence Act. Last October, the Polish government swiftly enacted a document titled “Take Back Control. Ensure Security. Poland’s Comprehensive and Responsible Migration Strategy for 2025-2030 (pl. “Odzyskać kontrolę. Zapewnić bezpieczeństwo. Kompleksowa i odpowiedzialna strategia migracyjna Polski na lata 2025–2030”). Just as quickly, legislation to implement this strategy followed.
